April 11th, 2021 marks the second anniversary of incarceration of Julian Assange. He is still being held in high-security Bemarish prison in London, without clear charges except for doing his job as investigative journalist, obtaining information from sources, and publishing data about corruption and abuse of power.
JSC calls again for unconditioned release of Julian Assange, founder and editor-in-chief of Wikileaks, and the drop of all charges and legal prosecutions against him, as these trials pave the way for a global undermining of press freedom and threaten the security of journalists and researchers in their pursuit to reveal the truth to local and international communities.
