The Journalists Support Committee strongly condemns the Israeli occupation army's deliberate targeting of press crews that were keeping pace with the current events in southern Lebanon, which led to journalists being killed and wounded.
It is worth noting that the journalists were wearing press jackets and helmets while covering the current events in southern Lebanon, and they had informed the relevant authorities about their whereabouts.
JSC condemns this deliberate targeting, which constitutes a war crime according to the relevant international laws and conventions.
The Committee calls on all relevant international organizations and UN bodies to condemn this act and take all measures to guarantee the protection of journalists and prevent them from being targeted in accordance with the provisions of international laws
