Expressing feelings of grief for the loss of journalists' lives in such horrific and inhuman way, JSC in Geneva extends its condolences and since sympathy with with the journalist Youssef Abu Hussein's family and his colleagues at the Sawt Al-Aqsa Radio for his loss due to the Israeli bombardment of his home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza earlier this morning.
JSC demands concerned human rights organizations, foremost among which is the International Federation of Journalists and UNESCO, to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop its direct and indirect targeting of journalists.
It also re-calls for a rapid and transparent investigation into war crimes committed against journalists and the media, especially by the International Criminal Court, in accordance with the principle of ending impunity in crimes committed against journalists.
