The Journalist Support Committee Concluded a Cooperation Agreement with Free Voices organization for Independent Media
On Monday, February 26, 2018, the Journalist Support Committee signed a cooperation agreement with Free Voices organization for Independent Media, a Yemeni non-governmental organization dedicated to monitoring and documenting violations against the press and to provide advocacy, legal and moral support for all media professionals.
The Committee hopes that this agreement will result, at a media level particularly in the exchange of expertise, joint workshop training of Yemeni journalists, issuance of joint statements and in the defense of freedom of opinion, expression, and media freedom in Yemen, in building a bridge for communication and harmony among the Yemeni people.
The Committee notes that the objective of this agreement is to promote the freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of the press, and to enhance the freedom of journalists and defend their rights and to work on the development of the Yemeni media outlets in the best interest of the Yemeni people, and ensures civil peace, security, and stability among Yemeni journalists.
