Journalists Support Committee is one of UNESCO's Mil Week 2017's important partners
The Journalists Support Committee thanked UNESCO for its trust and reliance upon the committee's work and for in listing the committee in UNESCO’s list of distinguished partners for the Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2017 (MIL WEEK).
The global media and information literacy week aims to raise media awareness, especially among the youth and to build a critical media culture.
The committee will seek to promote media and information literacy within the framework of the following concepts: critical minds, innovation, multicultural, citizenship, knowledge, and sustainability, throughout all its media platforms. It will also call the Arab and international media to promote media and information literacy through social media or through training workshops in schools and universities.
