On March 15, 2017, the Journalist Support Committee organized a workshop entitled “Citizen Journalist”, on the sidelines of the first Euro-Mediterranean Media Dialogue in Tunis, Tunisia.
The workshop was attended by 12 students, journalists, and media professionals. They were trained by the director of the news agency U-News, Mr. Qassim Mteirk.
During the workshop, students were introduced to the work of the Journalist Support Committee and its importance in the Arab world in defending the rights of journalists.
The content of the workshop, the participants were trained by media professionals on how to take pictures and collect news via smart phones.
At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed to participants.
