Journalist Support Committee Nominates Photo journalist Anahar Al-Moayad for the Courage in Journalism Award 2018
The Journalist Support Committee nominates photojournalist Anhar Al-Moayad, a photographer at the Yemeni Press Agency, for the 2018 Courage in Journalism Award, a prize by the International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) awarded in honor of a number of leading women journalists in the world.
The photojournalist was nominated for her courage in covering the war, siege, internal strife and the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
The photojournalist takes photographs, defying the indiscriminate and violent bombardment, with the aim of conveying the suffering of the Yemeni people to the world and the extent of the devastation suffered by Yemen as a result of the war. The brilliant photographer did not forget to convey the glimmer of hope in the eyes of childhood.
It should be noted that this award was also granted to the Yemeni war correspondent for the year 2017, colleague Hadeel Yamani.
